THEME: The title of our workshop is "Closing the Distance" has the dual meaning for bringing people together from around the globe but also a range combat term. We want to explore what happens when we not only get in distance but close the distance further in a fun and creative way. What happens to that quarterstaff up close, long sword in dagger distance, your weapon broke, hand to hand in a closet...? Some weapons have tactics when in close, others have to improvise. Have a think, have a play.
