The Paddy Crean Scholarships


Applications are now CLOSED for Scholarships for the 2024 workshop.



The Bear Scholarship
Award:
  • Full scholarship covering workshop fee, room and board.
Purpose:
  • To provide financial support and enhance accessibility to training and the IOSP community to a deserving individual who might otherwise be unable to afford it. 
  • This scholarship can be awarded to a participant originating anywhere in the world.
Applicant must demonstrate:
  • Passion for the work and art.
  • Serious interest in furthering their personal and/or professional development. 
  • Active pursuit of diverse education and study leading to deeper understanding and more proficient practice of the applicant's discipline(s).
  • Demonstration of character and respect for the code of conduct.
  • Financial need. This is relative to the applicant and not just to the cost to attend the workshop.
  • Appreciation for the IOSP and Paddy Workshop Community whether they have attended a previous workshop or not. (Prior attendance is not mandatory.) 
*Applicant cannot be a relative, spouse, or child of a member of the Board of Directors of the IOSP. *

Application:

Complete the Google form link below which will request you supply: 
  • A brief statement of why you should be awarded a scholarship. (1500 characters max)
  • A resume
  • One (or more) brief letter(s) of reference/recommendation
  • The latest year you attended the Paddy Crean Workshop (if applicable)
  • A few logistical questions

The Eagle Scholarship
Award:
  • Full scholarship covering workshop fee, room and board.
Purpose:
  • To provide financial support and enhance accessibility to training and the IOSP community to a deserving individual who might otherwise be unable to afford it. 
  • This scholarship can only be awarded to a participant NOT originating in North America. 
Applicant must demonstrate:
  • Passion for the work and art.
  • Serious interest in furthering their personal and/or professional development. 
  • Active pursuit of diverse education and study leading to deeper understanding and more proficient practice of the applicant's discipline(s).
  • Demonstration of character and respect for the code of conduct.
  • Financial need. This is relative to the applicant and not just to the cost to attend the workshop.
  • Appreciation for the IOSP and Paddy Workshop Community whether they have attended a previous workshop or not. (Prior attendance is not mandatory.)

The Henry Marshall Award Scholarship
There is no application process for the following as it is awarded at the event.

Award:
  • Full scholarship covering workshop fee, room and board.
Purpose:
  • To provide the Henry Marshall Award recipient a scholarship to the following Paddy Crean Workshop in Banff, Canada.
Selection Criteria:
  • The Henry Marshall Award is determined and presented at the Paddy Crean conference.
